This is a non-threaded mechanical fastener which uses with relevant diameter hole. DIN 1472 Grooved Pin is a single steel rod with three longitudinal tapered grooves. Grooved pins are conical in shape with two slightly rounded ends, both of which have a different diameter, one slightly smaller than the other allowing easy insertion into the hole.
